NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV -- The Secret Service requires people attending events with a president or first lady to be in place hours before the main attraction arrives. So organizers are forced to cope with the question of keeping people engaged for that time.
Senate Majority Harry Reid's campaign came up a solution today for the large crowd that jammed a high school gymnasium here to wait nearly two hours for First Lady Michelle Obama -- they turned it into a campaign phone bank.
Speakers, including Congresswoman Dina Titus (D), who faces an uphill battle for re-election, and Congresswoman Shelley Berkley (D), who doesn't, asked people to pull out their cell phones and call friends, neighbors, and co-workers to remind them to vote. To show them how it's done, Titus and Berkley made calls themselves, even holding their phones up so the recipients of the calls could hear the crowd, and holding the earpiece to the microphone so the crowd could hear them.
When Michelle Obama -- whom Reid introduced as "the closer" -- spoke, she received the most enthusiastic and energetic responses of the three speeches I've seen her give this fall. And Mrs. Obama seemed energized by the crown. Using a prompter to deliver essentially the same speech she's given since for more than two weeks now, she spoke with more feeling and emotion than those earlier stops.
A big reason why Nevada -- where one-quarter of the population is Hispanic -- is on her Election Eve itinerary can be found in the results of the new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll: While only 45% of registered voters say they have a favorable opinion of President Obama, his approval rating among Hispanics is 55%.

Some of you just don't understand. How in the heck are your kids and mine going to pay for all this spending that Reid and the demos keep piling on us? You can't, all you can do is call us kooks, and blame Bush. You guys were in control of both the House and the Senate the last years Bush was there. What were you doing then, blaming us as usual. The stimulus failed, the Obama care is a joke, and you call us kooks. You may want to look in the mirror. We want our country back. We want to make a decent living doing a job we can, and not get taxed into oblivion, and have to pay for everyones health care. It's all I can do to pay for mine, and yet you say I need to pay for everyone else's. I have to work every single day to have a the few dollars in my pocket. I'm sick and tired of having my money taken away. It's bullo, and Obama has lied to us, and he will not help, from what I have seen.
Why don't you ask Bush and Cheney for the money for your kid's future since they are the ones who took it. President Obama just used his share as president. What did you expect him to use?
First of all you never had the country in the first place and your yearning for a past that is not going to come back. The stimulus didn't fail except for you individually, if that's what you want to believe , it did succeed in preventing a much bigger disaster that would have effected us all for very long time. You need a job, I understand, go get one, and your not being "taxed into Oblivion" in fact your not being tax enough, nor are you being paid enough. And no one is mortgaging your childrens future--the Republicans have already mortgaged yours up to the hilt. If you want to see that debt paid down, tax the Rich they have been shirking thier responsibility long enough and taxing them is the quickest way to fix the inequities. Like Willie Sutton said when asked why he robbed banks, "That's where the money is" You want to end the recession get yourself a job, demand decent pay and fight for the middle class. the Rich and their big corporations have some how pursuaded middle class Americans to vote against their own interest. We have a recession because you and many millions of others are not paid enough when you have a job.
In 1990 the top 5% of Americans held an astounding $8 trillion in personal wealth, that is a very big number. Twenty years later after the S&L Crisis, several small recessions, and a very big recession in 2008, the top 5% now hold $40 Trillion. Now ask yourself if giving the wealthy more money will create jobs?? Or if letting them off the hook on taxes is really helping anything?? Using that theory we should have about 5 available jobs for every worker!! That increase in wealth is coming straight from the middle class because their wages and salaries have not kept pace with real inflation and have been suppressed in favor of corporate profit.
We have a recession because the middle class can not really afford anything.

don't you ever get tired of repeating what you are told from the special interest unions, the progressive play book and the democratic party? It has been shown time and time again that this recession was based on the housing crises that was the product of social engeneering from the 2006 "democratic congress"! Once again the democratic congress that controlled the money and budget along with the good folks at ACORN blackmailed the banks into making bad loans but were told that the "new rules" at fannie may and Freddie Mac that were under the supervision of the democratic appointed CEO's would "guarentee" these loans. The social engeneers that were appointed CEO were Barnie Franks and Chris Dodd who gave themselves a 10 million dollar bonus each after they collasped the national and world economy!! They gave wall street the bonds to sell and they guarenteed that the loans were good! Barnie Franks even gave a speech saying how strong and what good shape fannie may was under his leadership. Within two weeks they collasped!!! taking the economies of the world with them.
So if you want more tax and spend social programs, Alot more social engineering and a life time of government envolvement in every aspect of your life then by all means vote for reid but if you think you can run your life better that Obama and the progressivies can and you do not want unions screwing up your work place (if there is even anyplace left to work) then vote for the Republicans. They want everybody to have a chance to make it, that is a unobstructed "chance" for everybody to become whatever you want! The Democrats/ progressivies want to tell you what you will be and to keep everybody "equall" except for government workers and unions. And to be kept equal at the lowest possiable level!!!

President Bush touted his goal Monday of boosting minority home ownership by 5.5 million before the end of the decade through grants to low-income families and credits to developers.
"Too many American families, too many minorities, do not own a home. There is a home ownership gap in America. The difference between African-American and Hispanic home ownership is too big," Bush told a crowd at St. Paul AME Church in Atlanta.

Michele Obama goes around pleading for her husband and his buddies. She was not elected to anything. She needs a telepromter just like her husband to get out a complete sentence. Being healthy and living a healthy life increases ones life span and productivity. Get over it! Obama is the Commander in Chief and there is nothing you can do about it! Speaking ill of him and the 1st Lady will not remove them from office. Guess what, the house can veto anything Obama wants to pass. And that health care bill he passed won't be much when the house refuses to fund it. For someone who hates America and white people (read her thesis from Princeton) and who was never proud to be an American until her husband got elected president she sure is pushing for the reelection of the dumbocrats. She thinks she is the queen and likes acting like it with her over paid staff of servants to take care of her every desire. I guess those were the jobs created by her husband's stimulus package.
