Did Sink cheat at the debate? That’s what the St. Pete Times’ Adam Smith reports, “If you watched the debate, you may have noted Rick Scott accusing the Alex Sink campaign of slipping her a note against the rules. He's correct. Violating their mutual agreement against notes, Sink makeup artist came in during a commercial break and showed her a phone with a message: ‘The attorney who [w]on the Sykes suit said alex sink did nothing wrong. Tell not to let him keep talking about her.’”
KENTUCKY: Before a Rand Paul-Jack Conway debate, Paul supporters roughed up a MoveOn.org supporter, pushing her head into the concrete sidewalk. One man is clearly seen stomping on the woman’s neck/head. Here's the video.
More from the Herald-Leader: "At one point, violence broke out when Lauren Valle of MoveOn.org approached Paul and tried to give him an 'employee of the month award' from Republicorp. Republicorp is a fake business MoveOn created to symbolize what it says is the merger of the GOP and business interests controlling political speech. Television video shows Valle, of Washington, D.C., being pushed to the ground and at least one foot stepping down on her head."
Here’s Paul’s statement on the incident, per NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell: "We understand that there was an altercation outside of the debate between supporters of both sides and that is incredibly unfortunate. Violence of any kind has no place in our civil discourse and we urge supporters on all sides to be civil to one another as tensions rise heading toward this very important election. We are relieved to hear that the woman in question was not injured."
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports on the debate: “In a spirited debate on statewide and national television Monday night, Democrat Jack Conway and Republican Rand Paul accused each other of misrepresenting their views on issues ranging from civil rights to a national sales tax in their race for the U.S. Senate.”

My God - is this where our country is headed? Is this the angry electorate? Where is the outrage from Rand Paul? How is it ever okay to viciously attack someone? Committing violence is okay as long as I don't agree with the politics of the person being harmed.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that is basically what you are saying by not condemning the violent act and instead comparing it to policies you are against.
Let's take a step back and remember that at the end of the day we are all Americans. We are each others neighbors, co-workers, family, customers, and so on.
If that man had just applied a little more of his body weight to that woman's head/neck she could have been killed.
I think when something like this happens we need to condemn the act and move on. I don't think it is appropriate to compare it to public policy.
I'm a Rand Paul supporter and I am outraged. This is not what the movement represents and it sickens me.

The "Miss Move On" had every First Amendment right to her form of political protest. She was not there to hurt anybody. Yet someone acted by putting her on the ground and shoving his foot to her head/neck area?? Talk about an extreme reaction to protected political speech.
If this had happened to a Tea Party supporter at the hands of a democrat-supporter, do you really think you'd be making such an argument? If so, then you're just a sickening, violent person. If not, you're a sickening, violent, and hypocritical person. Either way, I imagine you have let down your parents' and possibly your Higher Power (of whatever religion you may belong to) if you happen to belong to a religion.

Watching the video, my initial gut reaction is described above. Having said that, I didn't see them trying to hurt her. I saw abuse, I saw dominance.
The expression on her face was not the face of a victim of violence, but of someone that would do it again. It was a face of a new Move On heroine and she knew it.

I'm laughing at the duplicity of you Libs. I wholeheartedly agree that all involved should be punished. That is NOT what the Tea Party stands for. That being said, I can't help but wonder where all this outrage was when a black man was savagely beaten last summer by SEIU thugs outside of a Town Hall meeting for the heinous crime of handing out Gadsden Flags.
Also, is anyone questioning why this woman was wearing a wig and pretending to be a Tea Party/Rand Paul supporter while displaying a sign that a true Tea Party member would NEVER display? Is THIS what political discourse has sunk to?

To my recollection, this is the precise m.o. the Tea Party used last year to

The only problem is, what will they do if they new found majority is not big enough to push Obama away from the warehouse. why hasnt anyone asked rick scott if there are too many rules and regulations governing medicare billing, if he were in charge the republicans could do away with all those pesky regulations and just milk Medicare dry. we the taxpayers would just need to put more into medicare so that hospitals under rick scott would receive all that they are entitled to and few billion extra, no big deal

Rand Paul is the one who has yet to refute the claims that he dragged a woman around to some Frat-type event during his college years. It could suggest, though I'm NOT claiming this as fact, that he doesn't care much about violence or violence towards women.

Ah, that is a conundrum, How in a representative form of government can we give equal access to both the poor and those whose interests are represented by corporations, along with everyone else in between? Use only federal money? I do believe it has been shown time and time again, absolute power corrupts absolutely,what if those in power, once gained , do not then want to give the funds to the opposition anymore?Then,use only privately donated funds?, a form of free speech, but hardly fair to the poor. I tend to believe we will have to stick to the system we have now, messy as it is, and through eternal vigilance and participation by as many as possible,in as many forms and forums as possible, make it work,...... but, that could just be my meds talking.
