Obama agenda: What’s the plan after Election Day?

The New York Times: “After two years of operating at loggerheads with Republicans, Mr. Obama and his aides are planning a post-election agenda for a very different political climate. They see potential for bipartisan cooperation on reducing the deficit, passing stalled free-trade pacts and revamping the education bill known as No Child Left Behind — work that Arne Duncan, Mr. Obama’s education secretary, says could go a long way toward repairing ‘the current state of anger and animosity.’”

More: “Mr. Obama came to office vowing to reach across the aisle and change the tone in Washington, a goal he quickly abandoned when Republicans stood in lockstep against his stimulus bill. Today, with each side blaming the other for their sorry state of relations, neither has ‘clean hands,’ said Senator Mark Warner, Democrat of Virginia. Yet even Democrats say that, as president, Mr. Obama has a special obligation to try to put an end to the vitriol — and that the future of his presidency may depend on it.”

God I hope that Obama sticks to his thug-like Chicago political tactics. It will be a sure and easy defeat in 2012. I believe his anti-colonial beliefs just won't let him "cross the aisle" and it will ultimately be his downfall... I just wish that it would happen faster.

MSNBC is a gigantic joke of a network that only the most kooky of left-wing retards watch anyway... so I guess the joke is on me for even posting here. Can't wait for the political bloodletting on November 2nd... it will be so fun to watch as democrats lose power and are rightfully put in their place. They have no vision for a true and free America. And I hope that republicans have the gumption to stand up to these thug tactics and stand in the way of any supposed "progress" Obama and the libtards try to gerrymander through Congress.

Right.

How many times do they have to have their asses handed to them before they figure out that the GOP is NOT their friend.

Epic FAIL ahead...

The GOP is not their "friend" because this administration has not listened to the will of U.S. citizens all across this great country. Obama has pursued Obama's objectives with his centerpiece being the federal takeover of health care in this country.

But don't you just love the reporting here and the use of the word "lockstep"by NBC ? The Democrats have practiced partisan politics in a very ugly fashion and now it's about to bite them in the butt !

Jim, the majority of people voted for this President so he was listening to the will of the people. The only people he did not listen to were those who wanted to keep in place the same policies that created the mess we are in now.

'Federal takeover of healthcare'? Seriously? That is just a right wing talking point that has no basis in reality. It is designed to dupe people who do not think for themselves and your parroting that lie shows that you are one of the dupees who does not think for themselves.

Matthew:

That "federal takeover of health care" canard is as bogus as the day is long, and anyone who doesn't watch Fox News knows it.

My question for the "true believers:"

If there was a "federal takeover of health care", name one (1) health care provider that was put out of business by the federal government.

Guess what. There aren't any. Nobody was put out of business by the alleged "federal takeover." Instead, the existing health care providers were given 30 million new customers. They are STILL celebrating...

Isn't that a question? Shouldn't you end a question with a question mark? Just shows you how unintelligent most libs really are.

My hope is that the republicans present a cogent and articulate map for the coming years. And that they stop this ridiculous spending which mind you they contributed to in the Bush years. $700 trillion and nothing to show for it. Obama's anti-colonial, hate-America ways have to stop. This isn't Africa and this vision your father had for America is failing the people that actually think this is a great country. Some of you libs should actually read Obama's books and find out what really drives him. And then maybe you would see the hatred this man has for America and it's colonial apparatus.

Don't forget that this is a man that sat in Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years while he spouted his vitriol about America... Obama believes that America is the bad guy. Why do you think he does nothing about Iran and why we pulled out of Iraq?

In my opinion... those who voted for Obama are America's failures. They left us with an inexperienced, anti-colonialist who hates the country he now runs. He is using the power of the office to make things "equal" on the world stage.

Now that is an EPIC FAIL!!!

Time to get rid of this interloper before he does any more damage.

Tedro - You are griping about someone who forgot to place a question mark in a query and called them unintelligent. However, you blather on about Obama hating the country and being an anti-colonialist. You seem to be the unintelligent one.

Since you are being nitpicky where did you get the 700 trillion figure?

Yellowdog, you were too kind to Tedro. He was complaining about not putting a question mark after a query and then goes on to commit many grammatical and punctuation errors in his own post. Besides, not all 'queries' require questions marks. Rhetorical or queries that are also meant to serve as a statement do not not always require punctuation.

That being said, I'm wondering if ol' Tedro is holding his breath waiting for the ". . . cogent and articulate map . . ." from the Republicans. I hope not or if he is, he has good insurance.

Tedro, Libs, Progressives and the Dems, Ever notice that they weren't radicals

before Oblaba became President? When Oblaba took control of them they

started to spout Marxism, disrespect the town hall meetings etc. Now that they

have passed the so called healthcare bill , they were jumping with glee in

Congress and mouthing off. Now, they are running from Oblaba and still want to

be elected and even some of them are in denial of having supported the 5th

Horseman. Manchin for example. Now ,they realized that the 5th Horseman of

the Collapsed American Economy is leading them to destruction as he gallivants

across the desolate , jobless American landscape waving his SHOVEL of Misery.

Dems are now in a panic.

It is truly amazing to me that people cannot see that Obama does not believe in our Constitution as it was intended, to be the absolute foundation of our government. Sure, he, or anyone else could introduce new ideas to help improve the governance of our great country, provided the American people had a say in that improvement. But, to take our Constitution and try to re-write it without any input from the American majority is treasonous! I'm just an average Joe out here in the American landscape, but even I have enough common sense to know that what Obama is doing is detrimental to our founding principles.

Ameriapp's mom must have told him his dinner was ready and he should come up from the basement and wash his hands. He's been playing with JuvenBuchan and you never know what they've been playing in.
