GOP watch: More Palin 2012 intrigue

The Alaska blog, Mudflats, uncovered a nasty-gram email that Todd Palin sent Alaska Senate nominee Joe Miller, after Miller gave Sarah Palin a tepid 2012 endorsement when he was asked on FOX if she were qualified to be president. (Miller’s answer: There are plenty of great candidates out there.”

Well, hell hath no fury like a Palin scorned. Here’s Todd’s email to Miller:

“Hold off on any letter for Joe. Sarah put her ass on the line for Joe and yet he can't answer a simple question " is Sarah Palin Qualified to be President". I DON'T KNOW IF SHE IS.
Joe, please explain how this endorsement stuff works, is it to be completely one sided.
Sarah spent all morning working on a Facebook post for Joe, she won't use it, not now.
Put yourself in her shoe's Joe for one day.”

Here’s Miller forwarding the email to aides:

“Just found this in my inbox. This is what we're dealing with. Note the date and the complete misconstruction of what I said. “

Im liberal, but Ill take a guess that the Republicans cant possibly be stupid enough to endorse Sarah Palin for president. A lot of Americans find her offensive, and hate her, and would rather vote Obama back in, than see Sarah Palin running the country.

I know that due to the fundamental flaws in the fiscal policy of supply-side economics, as well as disagreements on several social political positions the Republicans take on matters, Im voting for Obama, regardless of whether hes up against Sarah Palin, or a much stronger candidate like Mitt Romney or Ron Paul.

I happen to think Sarah Palin is working with dim wattage but Todd is right.

Were it not for Sarah Palin’s endorsement we would not have Joe Miller as the Republican Senate candidate from Alaska.

What an ingrate!

Just like Sarah built him up she can bring him down.

He’d better be careful.

This reminds me of a line from "Full Metal Jacket" where the drill sargent says the other guy doesn't even have the courtesy to do a 'reach around'.

Seems these two aren't even ready for POLITICS much less holding any kind of office.

She held office - had to leave early to avoid negative press from possible prosecution.

We're getting a taste of what the "REAL PALIN'S" are like - much like what's been talked about by others who know the couple.

Fascinating....

So is Todd saying "I DON'T KNOW IF SHE IS" as his statement about Sara or is he claiming that's what Miller said? I'm sure he means what Miller said, but it isn't clear by how it was written.

Todd should definitely have someone proof read his notes for clarity and maybe for their unintended political effects when made public. Lack of clarity in thought, the inability to write complete coherent sentences, and writing and speaking before thinking traits seem to be true for both Sarah and Todd.

Think about Todd being the "shadow president" like he was considered the "shadow governor" in alaska, sitting in on official meetings, being involved in official email exchanges, etc. I would think more than twice about electing people as vindictive as this to run our country.

Are we surprised by this? The arrogance of this couple knows no bounds. This is what happens when you give grifters the idea that they are better than they are. McCain, you owe the nation an apology, and truth about little ignorant Sarah.

Its amazing though how teabaggers betray personal communications even without gumption or threat. Its like they have no social filters for appropriate behavior. Same with Ashjian and Angle. Reading that personal communication Palin sent in confidence is almost cringeworthy even if you are not a supporter. These folks have no business running anything or even being in decent social circles.

The truth hurts, doesn't it, todd..?

At least Joe was nice in how he responded to the question. If he had taken both of the gloves off Joe could have completely, accurately and applicably flamed your beauty queen wife to the nine hells but he chose to use some tact. Todd, you should be thanking him for not blowing her away.

BTW, in reading over your attempt at putting together an coherent email, I am completely unsurprised that your lovely, bubble headed wife took all morning putting together something as simple as a facebook message....sheesh...

The more you hear about Sarah and the Tea Baggers, you really just have to chuckle. Imagine these people running this country! The only thing that makes sense is that by the time they figure out what the crap they are doing, it will be time for a new election and they will be on the government payroll and benefit plan for a long time even if they are a one term wonder. That is why people want gov. positions, not to benefit the people that voted them in, but to better themselves.

Why is it every time the Palins - especially that woman - utters one single syllable, the media finds it newsworthy. And then the media pontificates about why they draw so much attention. Huh! It's ridiculous and so is she. I agree with the poster who said McCain owes us an apology. He is the one who unleashed her and now look at what we have. Hindsight being 20/20, all I can say is thank goodness that woman (or her family) is nowhere near the White House.

Sarah and Todd have enough money for them to visit Russia now without looking at them from her back door so maybe she can enroll in a political science class also a geography class. That might help her when she decides to run again and hopefully she and the tea party can come up with a little more intelligent answers when being questioned by the press.
