It Don’t Come Easy;

Another excellent adventure this week at First Read! Thanks to Mark – Domenico & Ali for allowing us to indulge our ‘Political Junkie’ cravings in this first-rate forum!

My how time flies when you’re having FUN!

Speaking of fun I plan on spending a lovely fall day tomorrow here in the suburbs of Chi-Town knocking on doors to GET OUT THE VOTE!

I encourage everyone to join me… phone bank… donate & talk to your family & friends about just how crucial the upcoming election is!

Think about it… when someone BREAKS something do you trust them enough to let them FIX it? I don’t think so…

Remember TRUE CHANGE has never come easy and let’s FIGHT as hard for it as we did in 2008! Let’s make sure we give our President the time he deserves to deliver on the CHANGE he promised… Rome wasn’t built in a day… although the Republicans have an uncanny resemblance to Nero!

I REFUSE to surrender to the merchants of HATE!

Time to head on over to the Dew Drop Inn…

*Shhh* Don’t tell anyone but… we’re having a belated surprise Birthday party for our good friend Clara, KC! Wait until she sees what pops out of her CAKE! Lol

Oh and… GO BEARS! I’m hoping to be able to say 4-0… BABY come Monday morning!

Happy Weekend All! Happy Anniversary to our beautiful First Family!

PS: Can’t wait to see what little tidbit Bill Maher serves up tonight on Christine O’Donnell! Lmao…

Hey, Feisty, will be joining the phone brigades next week. Time to do our part, and I am happy to do it. It is puzzling why, when you know they can't drive the car, there are people that want to give the Republicans the keys. With that, I am out, hubby is home early, he is tacking up horses, it is just too lovely and perfect a day to be inside. Will be late to the Dew Drop Inn, save me some cake, won't you? And Clara, be happy that I am not there to join in the singing! I couldn't find the right note if my life depended on it. Thanks to our hosts, excellent articles this week, guys, enjoy your weekend. There must be a football game to watch somewhere.

    Good evening Fiesty

Tomorrow is a busy day for us lefties. We will turn out our communities. I have a meeting; then phone banks.

We are going to guard our change. For the righties, in case you didn't know it, it's not about President Obama. It's about US. We cannot but the car in "R"and drive it in back into the ditch.

DA Bears play the New York Gaints. Go Bears

All you lefties enjoy yourselves getting doors slammed in your faces. No one wants to hear that political BS on the weekend. People are trying to enjoy football and family time and then here comes some lefty knocking at the door.....

The last thing someone wants to see at their door is a hard on the eyes woman or a dorky looking little white dude telling them the sky is falling and this is the most important election in their lifetime. (how many times have we heard that)

I so glad you and I have a relatively distant relationship. Any relationship that distant is deeply rooted. Lefties have the true tenor of what's important. Most righties know President Obama is/has not destructed America. They know it's front groups like the Koch Brothers and money launders in the Chamber of Commerce destroying our economy.

Frankly speaking, I can see people in the kitchen switching. Americans now know this a creation of the right's fear and are waking up; no matter where we go.

Have a happy weekend and peace bro!

and George Soros has absolutely nothing to do with the Progressive agenda?

How about pointing out how this weekend's "rally" was just if not more evil than Beck's idiocy?

12 Socialist/Communist groups sponsored this weekends "One Nation Rally".

Even now Cuba is calling socialism/communism a failure and the so-called intellectual's want to continue failed policies of much more smaller/ manageable economies.

Duh, I forgot Healthcare is based on a failed Republican program from Massachusetts and our current Budget is based off of California's "we do not need a steenking budget during an election".

You do realize as of Friday we do not have a budget, violating the very same laws that Pelosi championed 6 years ago?

I wonder Koch brothers versus George Soros, who controls the power.

Let's see their groups and the group that sponosrs the website that sponsors these ideas?

One Nation happily allowed money to flow from communist/socialist coffers,

President & Mrs. Obama, A Classy Couple

to go with a classy upbeat song, sung by a classy singer, Perry Como

      Make Someone Happy

      Make someone happy,
      Make just one someone happy;
Make just one heart the heart you sing to.
      One smile that cheers you,
One face that lights when it nears you,
      One girl you're ev'rything to.
      Fame if you win it,
Comes and goes in a minute.
Where's the real stuff in life to cling to?
      Love is the answer,
Someone to love is the answer.
Once you've found her, build your world around her.
      Make someone happy,
      Make just one someone happy,
And you will be happy, too.

Scott Brown won by 5 points. He won Barney Frank's district.

Keep talking about the polls closing, please. I had been worried about complacency-but not anymore. If people think it will be close, they'll make sure they get out to the polls.

If you ever look at Michelle Obama's schedule, she really works hard at being First Lady. I am proud of both of them and how they represent us as a nation. They do seem to be a real partnership but with romance still in the relationship. And their kids are cute as buttons, too.

                  Wow Mark.

Did you enjoy a "one Nation" rally that listed Communist/Socialist groups as their sponsors?

Mark, did you enjoy your weekend knowing that those same progressives now know that even Fidel Castro is admitting they cannot sustain socialism?

Wow, it took a whole 40 years.

Miriam, how much time does it take to "change everything"?

We were promised transparency and the president has edited vistor logs. Remember when Air Force One buzzed New York? Who was on that plane. What sitting President extended the powers of the Patriotic Act while removing power from private citizens to defend themselves oin court?

Even now Medical records are free range, which is anatheme to the new Health Insurance Reform.

The recovery act has given the Insurance companies to research medical issues before allowing a policy to be written.

Just amazing HOW LITTLE the President has accomplished in 18 months.

And you know it. As I've said before I've never in my adult life seen a TV station devoted to bash a President, his administration and even his family.

From the monkey girls (ladies who hold their jobs down with tails) to the doofus male commentators. I bet Roger Ailes keeps a supply of peroxide for his bleached blondes. At least the ladies @MSNBC don't need to show their tails or cross their legs to entice an audience to watch the News. They are real female journalist ; not barbie dolls.

How about that so-called fair and balanced Fox News' unprecedented donation of $1 million to the Republican advocacy group, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce?

Don't forget that Murdoch previously gave $1 million donation to the Republican Governors Association. Rupert Murdock should just come out and say that his tabloid sensationalist conglomerate is the Republican TB Party National Headquarters.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, under the leadership of the highly-partisan and controversial CEO and president Thomas Donohue, has changed from a mostly bi-partisan business lobbying group to a GOP global warming-denying political operation machine. Just look at how the Chamber of Commerce are encouraging business to sit on the jobs and money.

Donahue's Chamber largely acts now, as a GOP money laundering operation. And the group has pledged to spend $75 million on national, mostly Republican races this year alone.

Thanks Mark, Domenico, and Ali for providing a forum, whether we lefties like it or not, we get all points of view unlike a right wing to discuss.

Tea Party is just another name for Republican Party. Members of the Tea Party are those Republicans

who refused to accept the Democrats huge victory in the last general elections. They are those people

who became so bitter with the outcome of the last general election and therefore decided to continue

with their 2008 campaigns against the Democrats without stopping. The Democrats called off their 2008

campaigns immediately after the elections while the very bitter and disappointed members of Republican

Party decided to continue with the 2008 campaigns non-stop under the disguise of the name Tea party.

Republicans are hiding under the name Tea party so that people do not blame Republican Party for not

having called off their 2008 campaigns at the end of the elections. Republicans have campaigned non- stop

against the current Administration from the time the results of the last general elections were declared.

Sarah Palin for example became very sad when she lost and that bitterness of losing made her not

recognize the current administration. She decided to console herself by continuing to run all over the

country criticizing and throwing insults at the current administration under the cover of Tea party.

Democracy requires that when you lose in a fair election, you should accept defeat. Shake hands with the winner and be ready to work with the winner until the next election time. Respect people's decision.

Showing disrespect to the elected leaders implies that you do not respect the people who elected them in those positions.

                  I agree, Sam.

When the left loses then can get depressed and bitchy...but when the right loses they can get angry like Armageddon is coming!

My father is a staunch Republican who takes these views. When he recently sent me a birthday card, I noticed the stamp (with a picture of the Liberty Bell on it) was upside-down, to indicate national distress. Probably he thinks doom is looming (and I don't agree). At any rate...it was my birthday!

This certainly is wonderful, Beverly...and, I think, not altogether surprising. But it is key for this enthusiasm to translate into actual votes for Dem canidates. Let's all make it happen!

One Nation happily allowed money to flow from communist/socialist coffers,

FYI: Communist have been following groups around for over 1oo years. Did any communists /socialist speak on the podium? No they didn’t. After all, this is a free country. The Tea publican TEAPOT is infiltrated with sociopaths like militia groups backed by the crime family billionarries like the Koch Brothers and Don Blankenship, an active financial backer of the Republican party and participant in local and state politic who should be tried for the murder of those coal miners.

Therefore you have no rational argument. If, you don’t believe me, just ask the nut bag Tea party candidate Sharon Angle(backed by republican billionaries) what are her 2nd amendments remedies if she doesn't win?

One idiot wanted to kill David Axerold, in the Obama administration, They wrap themselves in the Constitution they mean to shred, that is the self-evident Truth the Tea/GOP Party ultimately is nuts and can’t appeal to rational thought. In fact, they are so consumed with hate The Tea/GOP would hate our actual founders!
