Clapp-er off, Clap-per on

NBC's Ken Strickland reports that after receiving a report he requested "nearly one year ago," Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has released his hold on Lt. Gen. James Clapper's nomination for the Director of National Intelligence. The nomination cleared the Intelligence Committee last month and awaits action by the full Senate.

"This report confirms Senator McCain's longstanding concerns about the poor oversight and cost overruns in intelligence technology programs," said the senator's spokeswoman Brooke Buchanan. "Senator McCain will continue to fight to ensure American taxpayer dollars are used efficiently and effectively to strengthen our national security."

Did McCain get the report he was waiting for or did he just forget why he put the hold on Clapper ?

Thanks Jody, but it is curious that someone like Cheney has lived so long on the public trough while doing nothing for the public good!

Okay, now if McCain would just explain what the report he requested one year ago has to do with Lt. General James Clappers nomination, it would help. Most likely, McCain forgot he asked for it and the nomination reminded him. For that matter, he could have read that big newspaper article a few weeks ago.

NO, this proves McCain is not the war hero he claims to be. Isn't the clapper suppossed to be concerned about keeping America safe? Boy what a hypocrite

Clap on Clap off: What a life Cheney has! clap, clap.

Must be the Area 51 Budget report. The black hole where no congressman dare ask how much and how the money is spent. I am sure all of the confidential parts were blacked out.

Bet this came as a surprise to Alzheimer addled Crash Dummy McCain, probably forgot all about his idiotic hold. Now we find out that Bushwhacker's clueless idea for a Director of National Intelligence only added another layer of useless bureaucracy without doing anything to actually streamline our bloated intelligence services. Too bad that Crash Dummy McCain didn't fight to make sure taxpayer dollars were used efficiently and effectively to strengthen our national security when War Criminals Bush and Cheney were in charge.

Another old RINO seems to have broken out of the preserve. Maybe this is a back door way of sending more jobs to AirBus.

Every politician should be removed from office because they all seem to suffer from mental lapses in memory these days! :D
