When I say Alvin, you say Greene

Combining some of today's most overplayed elements of pop culture, including Auto-Tune, LeBron James (and a special cameo from the Mike Weinstein dancers) we share with you the Alvin Greene rap.

Rap is NOT music. Such garbage should not be listened to.

Funny, that's what people said about Rock 'N Roll when I was growing up!

Rap is NOT music and should be listened to you say...well the same can be said for that $hi+ they call "Country Western!"

You know the old saying...opinions are like @$$holes...everyone has one (and you would do well to keep yours...well, you know where to place it).

        Rap is NOT music.

Of course it is. It may not be good music, but 'rap' as commonly defined involves, you know, notes.

Pretty hilarious stuff. Poor Greene. Looks like @greeneforsenate is very much in on it. I wonder how many folks will think it's legit by the end of the day.

The same can be said for that $hi+ they call "Country Western!"

Both country and rap own. It's just what's on the charts is not representative of the breadth and scope of goodness within those genres.

Oh man, I'm way late on this. That's rough. I'd like to see whoever produced the Greene video go to work with that budget.

It's a good ad, catchy, covers his ideas, modern, young people will like it and his name will stick for sure. A few less repeats toward the end would make it better.

I heard some of his speech this week, he's not polished but getting better. He made some good points about his ideas--when was the last time DeMint talked about what he would do besides the usual tax cuts, small government. As Lawrence O said. Alvin Greene, better than DeMint.

Rap may not be music, but it gets all the bootys shakin. And hopefully this video has bootys shakin all the way down to the polls to elect Alvin Greene & Defeat DeMint! I like this song & I think this candidate is a true outsider who America needs. I for one am sick of politics as usual.

I don't know Alvin Greene's backstory, but folks are always saying they want "the people" to take back the government, and to "throw out the incumbents." Well, here's a real person, he is who he is, and he's giving it the old college try!

He has as much of a right to run for Senate as Jim Demint.

I say, South Carolina Democratic Party and DNC, get behind him and let's see what happens!

I think his video is clever and creative. Better than gun-totin' Bible-thumpin' demon sheep!

Gail, Tn, wouldn't it be quite a hoot if Greene won this? We all have a sneaking suspicion who gave him that money to get on the ballot - I sure hope the voters in SC jump up and vote out demented. Now that is something that would make me want to spend vacation money in their state again.

He is a "real American" he should get wide support from the "take back our country" crowd. HA this one could be a lot of fun watching how Demint reacts to what must be in his view the Anti-Christ, this one might give them more political troubles than expected.

I don't care for rap, but I sure don't care one thing about country music - quite hypocritical if you ask me, how can beer drinking, bar hopping, cheating songs be family friendly? They can't, and since I've been in the Nashville area all my life, I can tell you those country music people are not all fine upstanding citizens they pretend to be anymore than the rap folks are. You can keep both cmt and rap - give me that good old rock and roll, with some blues and Janis Joplin and Stevie Ray Vaughn (the two best thing to ever come out of God forsaken Texasss) anyday.

Rap is not only music; it's also a billion dollar industry. That garbage you're talking about is Demint; I assume??

At least Al has a message and is communicating it. I'm sure America is sick of the GOP's tired rap. Demint wants this country to meet it's "Waterloo". Apparently, Al Greene doesn't. Demint is not saying anything. He wants his money to talk for him. Guest what? Demint can't even buy the right message

His affect is certainly not as flat as Rand Paul.

                Alvin Greene for congress!

And he is not someone who is pretending to be a doctor without ever passing the boards - what kind of idiot would let a non board certified surgeon work on their one and only pair of eyes? Not me. And if Rand is not truthful about his profession I don't see him being honest in government.

Alvin Green just bested all politicians with this catchy video. Much smarter man than he was presented to be by the media. He has something. Being unemployed makes him real. Very real! He just may win this! I'm rooting for him. Can't be any worse tha DeMint.

He is pretty rough but still gives a better interview than Sharon Angle and at least he is not running for vice president.

Wouldn't it be the irony of all ironies if this guy is really a Republican plant and he ends up winning the election? I would laugh myself silly!
