Joe Manchin (D) will add the issue to the slate for a special session next month. (The special session, which is focused on education, is set to start on July 19.)”

Jim Demented is a stinking lying tea bagger who doesn't warrantbeing called a kingmaker. I don't think his brand of extreme rightwing lies will play well in Colorado except for the Braindead Beckerheads there.
Joe Biden sure hit the nail on the head that the evangelical christian lunatic fringers don't believe in science or reality, they live in their own bubble of religious paranoid delusions.
Good morning everybody. Sen. DeMented has blocked the commission that President Obama had installed to review and advise on Financial Reform by repeal ling their Subpoena Powers, basically making them non-functional. Here we go, more proof that the right is favoring Big-Oil over all Americans. It just keeps getting worse.
The Republicans are already scrambling since they were already behind the DNC in fundraising and cash on hand. With the meltdowns of Boehner and Barton drawing flashing red lights around the real constituents and platforms of the GOP, I think they better kick into high gear pretty soon or they fill find themselves looking at an even bigger Demogratic majority in November.
Even some on the right are beginning to wake up, smell the coffee, and realize that the GOP is SO far in bed with big business that they don't even really try to hide it all that much anymore. The GOP is so out of touch with the working class that they have NO idea what working people face on a daily basis just to survive. For them, it is not about how to scrape together the money to pay the country club dues or how can we cut back on our luxury expenses, it is more a matter of how the heck am I going to put food on the table today?
I think the timing is perfect in that just as the GOP is booting millions more off the unemployment roles, these same unemployed people can now spend all day watching the talking heads discuss why the GOP hates the unemployed AMERICAN "hobos" and how they will do anything they can to protect their big business buddies. Way to go GOP!
Now, if only the Dems will grow a freaking spine and USE this lovely material to fight back and expose the GOP principles for what they are, MAYBE we still have a chance to save America from this plague that is working to hard to elevate tea bags to elected office...
Disgusted
The right just keep on providing the Dems with very useful, explosive ammunition. I DO wish that the Dems would step up to the plate and start firing back, However, I think that maybe they are taking a page from the Obama campaign and trying to stay on a more gentlemanly (or gentlewomanly) path in staying calm and letting the Repubs spout off vociferously with their lies and distortions, and their truthfulness about their corporate affiliations. By letting the Repubs show their true colors they actually have the Repubs doing their own advertising as to why they are the better party at governing as the public SEES these lies and defenses of the Corporate activities. Every time that the Repubs are caught in their lies, publicly, it is another chunk of the populace that stops listening to them, until there is only a tiny, angry core that will find itself voted out of power entirely. It cannot happen too soon!
Still, we DO need another party to balance the Dems, having just one party making law does lead to imbalance in the Government. Having the Dems in sole control for a term or two may not be a bad thing, as it will allow them to make major fixes for some of the problems that ol Bush handed us, but I can only hope that a Viable, Centrist party will arise from the ashes of the Repubs to replace them. But with a single party in control, they will eventually go overboard and start making mistakes that can cost us dearly as well. We can hope this is not the case, but history tends to repeat itself, especially in this country where people are intentionally ignorant about politics in general and so have not learned from the past.
Jim "Napoleon" DeMint (the jerk) is coming to Colorado -- maybe that's a good thing; his appearance could actually hurt Buck & the Repubs chances for getting elected in this very purple state. If there were any moderate Repubs left, we could eelect a Repub, otherwise, NOT! Sign me up for protesting against letting DeMint into the state.
