Haley: Palin gave campaign 'amazing boost'

Newly minted South Carolina GOP gubernatorial nominee Nikki Haley appeared on MSNBC's Morning Joe this morning to discuss her victory in the state's primary. Asked about the impact that Sarah Palin's endorsement had on her once-longshot campaign, Haley said that the former Alaska governor's backing gave her "an amazing boost and a push of credibility."

Haley may have been half right. Palin may have given her a boost. But Palin gives credibility to no one, man or woman.

A push of credibility by Palin? What? The only thing Palin can be credible for is making sure she gets as much money as possible from her loyal followers. It's only a matter of time before her followers realize they have been ripped off, lied to, and used.

Grumpy ~ time to get the glasses checked, for more reasons than one. You may be missing a lot.

I dunno, Forrest, but when I hear the name 'Palin', boobs are the last thing I think of. (unless you meant 'boobs' as in breasts, and not screw-ups) I bet hers are like two fried eggs on a nail after having all those kids.

As long as we're talking about lunch - I want to share my unscientific observation from this afternoon...

For the life of me I don't understand why every time I order lunch in for my company the Repug's are the first in line for the free grub!

If that's not bad enough... they're back in line for seconds before the rest of the employees have even got their first serving... Freakin AMAZING!

Feisty maybe they are closet socialists and it is their little way of redistributing the wealth.

Or maybe they want to get some of the food before Feisty eats most of it and stores the rest of it in her desk drawer for next week. Or maybe they just like the idea of getting the good stuff before the woman whose known in the office as the "always on the internet slacker" grabs it.

Sarah Palin, without any doubt, is a sociopath and that scares me because there are those now grooming her to be their next ‘puppet’ for president. Read the book “The Sociopath Next Door” by Martha Stout. A sociopath is a con artist, a natural con artist as it is simply their automatic behavior. They are quite capable of being impressive, of faking most anything, of even succeeding and it is natural for them to be arrogant. If they fail at something they just aggressively move on to the next thing without pause or concern, especially without any thought for responsibility. To some extent it seems like a compliment but the problem is that they literally have no conscience and their total focus is simply on what they selfishly desire. They experience no guilt and have no hesitation; honesty and right or wrong are just non-issues to them. They simply say/do whatever they think will get them what they want. Their only real goal is to satisfy themselves and their appetite is insatiable. What is so bad about a sociopath is simply that to them everything is about them and nothing else matters and everything is viewed by them in that perspective. To watch Sarah Palin you see it happening - the performance, the faking, the unaffected total self-focus, the abandonment of responsibility, the saying anything without hesitation, the con, the cocky, unconcerned, in-your-face attitude. This is my opinion, so read the book and decide for yourself. And don’t make the mistake of rationalizing that there are several other sociopaths out there, as we have just suffered through eight years with one as president and we sure don’t need to accept another; we likely couldn’t survive another one.

Martha Stout tells us that 1 in 25 people (4%) are actually sociopaths. She further warns that 16 out of 25 (64%) are simply followers who are led by others. That then leaves just 8 in 25, split between different levels of good and bad, or approximately only 16% to get it right and those few still need to influence everyone else. I’ll leave it at that final thought and just wish us all … Good Luck, including no Sarah Palin!
