What is it with the GUNS?
Does waving them around somehow compensate what they're lacking in other areas?

So a silly sign is sooooo important that someone may get killed for messing with it let alone removing it? What in the world is wrong with that part of the country? Have they lost all common sense? Sure, if somone's life was in danger or a threat that someone's car, home or person were to be burglarized but a sign? Good grief! How stupid can they get?
Guns. The two most passionately argued issues in my lifetime have been guns and abortion. Being as how I’m not of the female gender I really don’t have much standing to discuss that second one but seeing as how I have had a firearm of some sort either in hand or close since I was about 5 or 6 I guess I’m pretty well qualified to speak to the first.But the one thing you can count on when a certain group of our political class falls out of power is for them to start beating that guns drum real loud and that is exactly what it is starting to happen again. A distraction so that they will not have to answer questions for which they have no answers. Guns have been an issue in America for so long that all the folks on both sides of the issue have to do is go to the footlocker and drag out their copies of the mythology and viola we have something that doesn’t need thinking about just reacted to and the reaction is pretty well predictable. That is exactly what it is you know? Mythology. Funny thing is that just like Mom, Apple Pie and Baseball it is a distinctively American Mythology. Norwegians and Danes have Thor and Odin. Greeks have Zeus and Apollo. Brits have King Arthur and Camelot. We have the Deerslayer, Doc Holiday and Wyatt Earp, Butch and Sundance and John Wayne. That's exactly what is happening here. There is a large segment of our political class that have no answer to the myriad problems that we face so they are dragging out the myths so the don't have to answer the hard questions.
I completely agree with you, and appreciate hearing this said by a proud gun owner. Somehow the extreme gun lobby has got their manhood stupidly involved in this issue in a completely out of control way. They need to be called out on it both from within and without.
At the same time, that ad is damn funny. I grew up in the south around Goobers like this guy. YEE-HAW!!
Thank you Perry. I agree with you and the folks uo above. To the best of my knowledge waving a gun around isn 't a viable male enhancement techinique outside of certain locals
Yet another rightwing coward pushing gun rights. What's really despicable is having the NRA be exempt from the new bill to force corporate political advertisers to come clean as to who is behind their lying ads. What a shame that there are too many cowardly Blue Dog Democrats who won't stand up to the biggest corporate liar of all, the NRA. The NRA is a terrorist organization responsible for tens of thousands of gun deaths each year in our country, the NRA should be prosecuted in every gun crime that results in people being injured or killed by guns because the NRA aids and abets criminals in obtaining guns for their gun crimes.
