AL-2, Barber, "Gather Your Armies"
6/13
BARBER: I would impeach him. And if that's not enough, some of you men own taverns. Sam, you were a brewer. Mr. President, a distiller. You know how tough it is to run a small business without a tyrannical government on your back. Today, we have an internal revenue service that enforces what they call a progressive income tax. You'll love this. Every year, we're basically required to spy on ourselves. Report what we earn, who we hire and fire, with an all-powerful separate court system, without representation they can increase taxes, add costly regulation or perform malicious audits. Now this same IRS is gonna force us to buy health insurance. Cram it down our throats, or else. Now I took an oath to defend that with my life. And I can't stand by while these evils are perpetrated. You gentlemen revolted over a tea tax. A tea tax! Now look at us. Are you with me? FOUNDING FATHER: Gather your armies.
CO-3, McConnell, "The 2nd Amendment"
6/11
Text: "Bob McConnell on the 2nd Amendment." MCCONNELL: (Shoots gun) That's a pretty good shot. Yeah, I want to talk to you all about the second amendment today. About guns, firearms. The second Amendment. A well-regulated militia being necessary to the defense of the nation, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. I love hunting. I love firearms. I like being out here, hearing the sound of guys enjoying what I enjoy. I grew up in a military family, had a military career. Nobody has any business telling me what kind of sports I enjoy, what kind of hunting I want to enjoy, what kind of weapon I want to keep in my home or my car to defend me, my family and if need be my country. Keep and bear. So let's go down range. I'm going to put in my earplugs. I'm going to draw, take off the safe, find the target, eject, put in a new magazine (shoots at Bin Laden target), drop the magazine, my weapon's safe. That's what I enjoy. That's what I love. That's what I will fight to keep the right to do. Keep and bear arms. You know I'm really disappointed in the fact that we're now negotiating a treaty with the United Nations that would effectively eliminate that. When I'm in Congress, I'm going to fight that treaty. I'm going to fight every effort to take our firearms away from us because I'm an American. I need your support. I want you to put me in Congress. I want you all to understand why I love doing what I do and why I'm prepared to do what I do. Join me in this fight. Take back our country. God bless America.
KS SEN, Tiahrt, "Tea Party Movement Hero"
6/11
ANNCR: They came to Tea Party rallies across Kansas. To say no to Washington. To all the bailouts, reckless spending and lost jobs. No to the trillions of debt passed on to our kids. Which is why Todd Tiahrt was named a National Tea Party Hero because he's not backing down. On taxes, bailouts or illegal immigrations. CATHY MCDONNELL: He doesn't want the larger government and I don't see him caving. Todd Tiahrt. The real Kansas conservative.
FL GOV, Scott, "For Sale"
6/11
SCOTT: Signs of tough times. Unemployment. Real estate collapse. Nearly half of Floridians underwater with their mortgages. So how will politicians solve the problem? They won't. They can't. I come from the business world. I'm running for governor to turn Florida around. Let's rein in state government with accountability budgeting, and create jobs by lowering taxes. The politicians can't turn Florida around. But you and I can. I'm Rick Scott. Let's get to work.
FL GOV, Scott, "Dominos"
6/11
ANNCR: 45% of homeowners owe more than their homes are worth. How'd it happen? Congress made the mess. Loosened regulations. Pushed banks to make risky loans. Congressman Bill McCollum? He voted yes. So the mortgage industry made him a high-paid lobbyist, and lobbyist Bill McCollum pushed for more risky loans. And when the housing crash knocked down state finances, McCollum said, "it's not the end of the world." Easy for him to say. Congressman, lobbyist, career politician. Bill McCollum.
NV SEN, anti-Reid, (American Crossroads), "Paying Off"
6/13
ANNCR: With Nevada in economic freefall, Harry Reid brags about his tax-payer funded $787 billion bailout, saying,
"there's no question our hard work is paying off." Paying off? Paying off for whom? More than 180 thousand Nevadans are out of work. Nevada home values have plummeted. Record foreclosures. Harry Reid's work is paying off alright. Paying off in Washington. But leaving Nevada with what?
MN GOV, Dayton, "9,000 Miles"
6/14
ANNCR: "He's just driven 9,000 miles to every Minnesota county, talking with seniors, workers, farmers. Mark Dayton has taken his campaign to the people, where wisdom in Minnesota is found. His roots go deep in our state. Generations have shopped at his family's Dayton's and Target stores. As an all-state goalie, he learned the value of hard work. All his life, he's had the courage to do what he believes is right. From teaching in a New york City public school to funding bus trips of seniors to Canada for cheaper prescription drugs, to voting against the Iraq War in the U.S. Senate, it's the courage we need to repair the damage Tim Pawlenty has done. Mark Dayton will make the richest Minnesotans pay their fair share of taxes and invest that money in better schools and colleges, create jobs by investing in better highways and clean energy and make taking care of seniors a top priority. Isn't it time we had a government as good as out people? Dayton -- governor for a better Minnesota" (youtube.com, 6/14).
NM GOV, Martinez, "Cada Nino"
6/13
from website: "Her first Spanish-language advertisement of the general election campaign, titled 'Cada Niño."'The advertisement speaks to the Doña Ana County District Attorney's prosecution in the murder of six-month old Brianna Lopez. Martinez convicted Brianna's mother, father and uncle in connection with her death. In the commercial, Martinez discusses how Brianna's photograph hangs on her office wall to remind her of the importance of fighting to protect children each and every day."
SC, Haley, "Primary Night"
6/11
HALEY: We said we are not gonna have an arrogant, unaccountable government. We said no to bailouts in Washington. We said no to inside dealmaking and backroom politics. But most importantly, we said yes to South Carolina not just being Republican, but becoming conservative and reminding elected officials who it is that they work for. I am a woman who understands through the grace of God, with him all things are possible.

This man is certifiable crazy and has no business having a gun. If this is what the Tea Party is all about, Democrats have little to worry about in November.
This sounds like treason
The Democrats have plenty to worry about in November if they continue to pursue their socialist policies of re-distributing wealth through continued wasteful government programs and higher taxes. When 47% of the people don't pay federal taxes something is radically wrong. Government doesn't create real wealth and real jobs, business does. We need real jobs not more useless bureaucrats.
I also love my guns, NRA, our military folks and firmly support our 2nd amendment rights!
nobody is redistributing anything...If you own 90% of the wealth in the country, you should pay 90% of the taxes. That's how a progressive tax system works.
Last time I checked the poor have continued to be poor, and the wealthy have continued to redistribute tax liability from themselves to the middle class.
Greg nobody is redestributing anything except that money from states like New York or California goes to states like Alabama or Mississippi because they can't contribute enough for their own needs.
You may be right is assessing that some don't pay taxes but those are generally the filthy rich. It certainly isn't middle class or poor people.
There are tax incentives for businesses and should be more to help them afford to hire more people. Those should only be for businesses with headquarters and majority of thier employees on US soil sure, why not? Unfortunately the right supports companies like Tyco whose headquarters is in Bermuda to avoid taxes and whose workforce is largely off shore. Tijuana is a good place to start looking for their workforce because there are weaker environmental laws and super cheap labor.
Unfortuately, while the Constitution has been interpreted as allowing one to own a gun (not specific in the Constitution) and most gun owners are responsible, well balanced citizen unfortunately there are some unstable individuals out there that make people want to ban gun ownership.
Also there are some on the right wing extremist fringe who want you to believe that a large group or political party is out to end your 2nd Amendment right. That is a fear tactic they have tried and failed with in the past. Thinking people know better. In a democracy and open society as we have there will always be those who will violate laws ruining things for everyone else. We cannot allow this to happen with the 2nd Amendment. We must continue to deal with the wackos and criminals who get guns so those who are stable and sane can continue to shoot at targets, hunt, and protect themeslves, families and property.
I am expecting some loony teabagger to get teed off and get into a gun battle or shoot some innocent person or worse, yet a politician or other public figure that just doesn't happen to agree with the teabag agenda. Demonstrating is one thing shooting and killing someone is quite another matter.
Jim as liberal i'm glad you love your guns, if you would stop listioning to the NRA you would find out that the president who is a former law professor at the univ of chicago. if any thing you sould be glad that they president knows enough about the constitution that taking your guns away is against our laws. presidents don't change laws unless your former president George Bush 43. president obama has said too many times that the right to own guns is in the 2nd admentment and as much as he does not believe in guns, back in the day i bet his grandfather and uncle (WW2 vert) owned guns and i bet he shot them as well, i know i did, but i choose not to own one.
its not up to him to change that, that can only be changed by the high court. president Obama's disagreement with gun owner ship has to do with the mass killing in the innercitys by thugs and gang bangers. last time i checked the majorty of gun owners are responsible people that understand how important gun saftey is and he (the president) does not want your guns. he want the guns that are bought illegally and end up on innercity streets. Jim i don't thing you or the majorty of gun owners fall in this group.
right!!!
stop listion to the NRA.
I really can't speak to this as I have found that I have absolutely nothing in common with these people. The last thing I think about when I go into the voting booth, is whether or not I can buy a gun.
Sorry. Just not a priority. And for those who say it is, what's the point? Immature chest pounding idiots. Who seriously need to grow up. Do they not care about education? Health care? Regulations? Climate. Environment. World politics?
A well regulated militia? Pointing a gun at a Bin Laden target? This is their freakin' priority? Tracking him down is the way to go. You know, real life stuff.
The Right Wing. The biggest morons in this country. No question about it.
This to them is the good 'ole days. Enemies. Always enemies with these people. Everywhere.
Cheney and GWB get a pass. They liked guns. So did Reagan. And John Wayne.
Sigh.
Their heroes. Gene Autrey too. What was it Matthews said? Pennsylvania likes to think of itself as a John Wayne kind of state? Really? That just about says it all, doesn't it?
That reminds me- who can produce a link or a quote where Obama has said he's coming for your guns? Why is the 2nd amendment being brought up all the time since he took office? Is this maybe the same thing that's going on with "we are getting tired of taxes going up and up and up....when in fact, they are lowest since 1950??
Oh, and Mconnell: "take back our country"???
We just did that. About a year and a half ago.....
Hmm, didn't realize we ever had such a Marxist leaning socialistic government before.
You mean the one where Corporate welfare keeps the middle class on the lower rungs of the ladder? THAT socialist gubmint??
look what youve done with it it, worse than ever, but I know it;s not obama;s fault that he has no experience and wants to be a movie star; never served his country if is really his country.all he wants is our money . Im not rich far from it but I still pay taxes and I dont want any handouts.im a single father who was married 22 years before my wife passed away and im mot racist I dont care what color our pres. is but I know when somebody played for fools promising trnsparency , and I don;t beleive for one min. that a man spent 20 years in a radical churh and didnt hear the pastor put down america.
It's really pathetic listening to the limpwristed conservative crybabies whining about the fair progressive income tax system established by republican Teddy Roosevelt. The Red Connie Menace is a bigger threat to our country than the Taliban.
Not surprised that Coward McConnell wants to talk about the 2nd Amendment, only cowards who are too cowardly to walk around without guns blabber on about the 2nd Amendment and allowing idiots who are smart enough to carry guns into places like churches and bars.
I say let the federal government bring it on against these rightwing fake militia groups who are nothing but Tory Traitors trying to destroy what our Founding Fathers wrought, a Secular Democracy with Separation of Church and State. I say the government should round up all these tea bagging cheapskate traitors and ship them off to Somalia where they can have the immoral irresponsible life they want.
These are very frightening people, threat, force and bullying replace compassion, understanding and intelligence. Rational people and emphasis on those who disagree with them are at high risk. It is this type of mentality that has always been this countries down fall.
Also would like to add that I believe what Rick Barber is saying in his add is treason, notice the gun, what is he proposing?
More from the luney tunes, behind the Tea Party idiocy...
LoL I'm not for this, either. Only I think that instead of forcing people to purchase insurance, and charging them a tax if they don't, just take the money and eliminate the middle man. In other words, use the money to buy a lot of chickens that the poor can trade for health care. Yum, yum, golden plumps. Doctors will LOVE this.
