KS SEN, Moran, "Truth Test"
6/6
ANNCR: "Desperate and trailing badly in the polls, Todd Tiahrt is running Washington style attack ads that don't tell the truth. Jerry Moran voted for the Bush tax cuts, and for lower taxes more than 200 times. And while Jerry fights to reduce wasteful spending, Todd Tiahrt, one of Washington's biggest spenders, voted to hide earmarks from public scrutiny. Congressman Todd Tiahrt: just another politician gone Washington." MORAN: "I'm Jerry Moran and I approve this message" (release, 6/7).
AZ SEN, McCain, "Washington Lobbyist"
6/7
ANNCR: J.D. Hayworth says he's an outsider. But after he was voted out of Congress, he became a registered lobbyist. Hayworth was paid thousands by a Florida corporation to lobby the very committee he used to serve on. Outsider? A lobbyist is as inside Washington as it gets. WOMAN: Hayworth was my congressman, but we voted him out.
CA SEN, Fiorina, Palin robocall
6/7
"Hi.This is Sarah Palin calling for the Carly for California campaign. I'm calling to ask you to vote for Carly Fiorina, the commonsense conservative running for United States Senate. You know thankfully Carly is not a career politician. She's a businesswoman who knows from personal experience that when government grows, the private sector shrinks. Carly is the conservative who has the best chance to beat liberal Sen. Barbara Boxer. And she's running against a liberal Republican who really isn't much different than Boxer. Come on, help get our country back on track by electing Carly Fiorina to the United States Senate. Please be sure to vote on Tuesday. And thank you so much for your time."
IL GOV, anti-Quinn (RGA), "Had Enough"
6/7
ANNCR: "As Governors, Quinn and Blagojevich have failed us. Unemployment's at a 26-year-high. In 15 months under Quinn, Illinois has lost 215,000 jobs. Under Quinn and Blagojevich, Illinois is now $13 billion in the red. Quinn's solutions to our deficits? Borrow more. Raise your taxes by 33%. Had enough? Pat Quinn has failed us. And we can't afford him anymore" (release, 6/7).
The Day After Tomorrow from Republican Governors Association on Vimeo.
MI GOV, Bouchard, "Look"
6/7
ANNCR: "Look around. Under Jennifer Granholm, unemployment's jumped over 100 percent. Nearly half know a family member who's jobless. And Lansing? More taxes, more spending. No solutions. Now, look at Mike Bouchard. He signed the pledge to fight any efforts to increase taxes. In the senate, he authored one of the state's largest tax cuts, saving us billions. Now, he's ready to get us back to work. Mike Bouchard. The conservative leader we've been looking for" (Youtube, 6/7).
SC GOV, McMaster
6/7
MAN (in clip): "Congressman Gresham Barrett." ANNCR: "Why are these people booing? Gresham Barrett lied to them. Barrett said he'd stand for conservative values, but voted for the $700 million Wall Street bailout. Now he says he'd do it again." BARRETT (in clip): "I would do it again today if I had to do it all over." ANNCR: "Gresham Barrett. Too weak to be governor. Henry McMaster opposed the Wall Street bailout and fought Obama's health care takeover. Restoring honor and integrity. Henry McMaster for governor" (youtube, 6/7).
NM GOV, Denish, "Results"
6/8
Susana Martinez promised not to plea-bargain felony drunk drivers. But she broke her promise and cut over 800 plea-bargain deals. It's a dangerous record of failure. In these tough times, we need a governor who protects families and gets results. Diane Denish. A loan program that helped 18 hundred small businesses grow and create jobs. Pre-K education for our kids. And taking on Santa Fe insiders to clean up the housing authority. Diane Denish. Governor.

I think McCain is one of the cracker "BUMS" that needs to go ASAP.. He is still fighting the VietNam war. This guy was caught and punished for his part in invaiding a Sovergin Nation..And acts like he did nothing wrong ...Where was his leadership when he could have said " NO THIS IS WRONG"!
McCain needs to retire. First he's for something and then he's against it and then for it again and then against it and so on.
He had his day in the sun and served his country and his state well. It is past time he retire. Lately he seems like an old man shouting at clouds as they roll by.
McCain unleashed Sarah unto the world. Andnow, to steal one from 'Maude'- "God will get you for that, John McCain".
And so now it begins........... Buh By, Old man. And yea and verrily- he truly deserves it.
He has not served his state well. He said he would not work in the senate as long as he had to work with democrats. He said he was taking his toys and going home. Did he really think he could be a senator and NOT have to work with the other party? He was elected to represent us and DID NOT DO THAT, and could not do that by taking his toys and going home. Of course he needs to go, and never should have been there in the first place. Rodney Glassman for his seat!
Can nothing be done to control an idiot like Palin? A robo call from that brainless twitt amounts to harrasment of the worst degree.
What:
What have the Republican party done for you lately?
American Citizen: Nothing
What was the last thing you remember the Republican party get accomplish?
American Citizen: Uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh
What will the Republican party do for you if they are elected?
American Citizen: Uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh
That's right, the Republican party, you can really count on them to-to-to-to-to-to-to-to-to-to..........
They'll try anything including selling how fiscally responsible GOPers are--to big business that is.
Ever notice how politcal candidates (yes both sides) when running for office use the term "I" all the time. I am for this or I am against that. I will vote against this or I will vote for that. I will provide you with this or I will do that. Then people vote for the person who they believe will be best at doing their bidding, say for instance like lowering taxes or providing health care or creating jobs or protecting our borders, etc., etc. But what these candidates will not admit (while running for office) and that voters often themselves forget, is that once elected that elected offical can no longer gaurantee that "I" will do this or that I can do that, as any issue requires that a group of "we" elected officals whether in the House or in the Senate determine what will be provided and what will not be provided, and what will be voted for and what will be voted down.
My point is that all these promises from candidates on either side of the isle are as fruitless and as worthless as the person spewing these promises. So if Lincoln in AR is promising her voters this, or McCain is promising his voters in Arizona that, or Reid in Nevada promising his voters something else, the people need to understand that these are people who have one vote on issues that will require the votes of many others, some of which will vote in opposition to their elected official.
Sick of smear campaigns. Do NOT tell me what the other candidate has or has not done. INSTEAD, tell me what you have done for me as an American citizen, and what your plan of action is to build a better America, and include in your plan a timetable so I can monitor your progress. This will help me decide if you are worthy of another term at the next election. Sick of mud slinging! Will not vote for any mud slingers!
In a bit of probably unnoticed news from South Carolina, Bob Inglis, one of the few sane Republican reps from the state has apparently been crushed by the Tea Party candidate in the upstate. Inglis committed the sins of saying that a dialogue should be opened on climate change and suggesting that Joe Wilson's outburst on the floor of congress was probably something that deserved an apology.
That's unfortunate. Inglis was the rep from the district where I lived when I lived there and although I never voted for him and he voted against a lot of things I support, he does at least seem like a rational guy about, you know, life.
