Former Obama White House Communications Director Anita Dunn has announced that she's severing all ties with the Democratic National Committee -- through November -- because her Democratic media firm, SKD Knickerbocker, is now working for Charlie Crist (I).
"We all reached the decision this was the cleanest way to avoid problems for the President and Chairman Kaine," Dunn emails First Read.
Of course, the most interesting aspect to all of this is that this well-known Dem firm -- with ties to the White House -- is working for Crist. The firm, though, has a history of working with independent candidates, most notably, Michael Bloomberg in New York City.

Time for us Democrats to sever all ties with Traitor Anita Dunn, her helping Traitor Chuckles Crist is proof that she's nothing but a corrupt corporate lackey and she should just turn repugnant one. Traitor Chuckles Crist is just trying to fool Democrats into voting for him then he'll turn traitor and caucus with the Impotent Minority. Democrats in Florida do not be fooled by Traitor Chuckles Crist or you'll find out the hard way that he fooled you and turned traitor on you after he wins.

You must enjoy looking at the world through a paper towel roll. The best chance that the Democrats have is for a third party independent to be in the race. Remove the tube and look around, you just may find that the world does not rotate around your rants.
Eric I think I will disagree somewhat on this one. Charlie Crist seems to me to be a little different than a lot of other Republicans in that he is more independant thinking and this was shown by him realizing that a vote for the stimulus bill was necessary at the time. True he does still have more right of center tendencies but the third party intrusion could benefit the democratic agenda if in no other way than capturing some republican votes. I have mixed feelings about this one, maybe it is part of the dems strategy to help him.
I agree, Crist was there to meet with Obama regarding the oil spill. MS's Haley Barbour was no where to be found. I like to let a man's actions speak louder than his words.
Eric: I usually agree with you, but this time I have to disagree. Charlie Crist got hammered by the republicans because he supported President Obama's stimulus plan. You can also see Charlie Crist standing by the president's side when he is on the gulf coast. Charlie Crist does what is right for the citizens of Florida and should be recognized for doing so. Rubio is the darling of the right so if Anita Dunne can help Charlie Crist kick his a@* then I will be on the sidelines applauding.
I've heard Democratic operatives from Florida indicate Kendrick Meeks' chances are extremely slim, and it appeared they were even being generous to Meeks, but refusing to say he had zero chance to win. If the real choice is Crist or Rubio who do you want? Crist who was relatively moderate before the GOP establishment turned on him, or Rubio. Crist supported the stimulus and vetoed the education bill that basically would have eliminated any reasonable amount of job security for K-12 public school teachers. If Crist is elected is he likely to caucus with those who turned on him, or the Democrats on key issues?
I see this as a positive, better Charlie Crist than Marco Rubio. Eric striving for liberal purity is simply not realistic. It is the type of thought process that put Bush in office in 2000. 96,000 + Floridians voted for Ralph Nader. No doubt most of these purist regret their vote, and probably don't publicly admit it. When you strive for purity, whether it is voting for Nader, or against Blanche Lincoln (despite the reality that she's got a better chance in Nov.) you might win the battle (She loses today), but lose the war (the seat goes GOP). If Kendrick Meek had a realistic shot at winning I doubt Dunn would be helping Crist. Have faith that a loyal Democrat like Dunn would not take on Crist as a client without WH approval, and have faith that Rahm and Obama know what they are doing!

Eric the soothsayer from Salinity, indeed goes down in flames. His liberal rants and breast beating is only raising his blood pressure. All his predictions and blabbering went down in flames. Halter is gone and well as others. Come on Eric, grow up. The other bloggers are mocking your ill defined comments and they consider you as a loser. The DINOS are getting a whipping this season. and the women are going to do it. Then, your worst nightmare ,Palin will crown it all by kicking Obama's butt. He is looking to kick someone's butt for the Obama Spill. He should give himself a good kick in the rear. Hehehe.
