Likely 2012 Republican candidate Gov. Tim Pawlenty helps raise money in Minnesota for Florida Republican Senate candidate Marco Rubio. fundraising flier (above).

Tim Pawlenty heads to Florida holds a fundraiser in Minnesota tomorrow to raise money for conservative favorite Marco Rubio, who is running for Senate in Florida, Minnesota Public Radio reports. MPR points out:

“Pawlenty didn't back a candidate for Florida Senate until Crist decided to run as an independent. He's the latest White House hopeful to back Rubio. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin are all backing Rubio.”

"Marco Rubio represents the future of the Republican Party and has the common sense, conservative ideas we need more of in Washington," Pawlenty adviser Alex Conant told MPR. "Governor Pawlenty wants to do whatever he can to help Rubio's campaign, and is glad to host him in Minnesota."

Republicans are backing the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate...

Why is that even blog-worthy? If Pawlenty was bucking the party and supporting someone else, I could see a story on that.

Tiny Tim Pawlenty is so desperate to keep his worthless name in the news that he'll say anything to get attention. It's funny watching the moderate republicans go bonkers off the deep end of far rightwing politics as more of them support Credit Card Criminal Rube Rubio. If Credit Card Criminal Rube Rubio and Moron Rant Paul are the future of the repugnant one's party then that party is DOA!

The Teahadist Paliban is nothing but the Baskin Robbins of Corrupt Conservative Radical Subversive Crackpots, all the skeletons in the dopes of nope closet that they kept bottled up for decades and who have now escaped into the public spotlight. Just watch as public opinion turns against the Teahadist Paliban as people find out more and more about the roots of this party of malcontents who hate our Secular Democracy. It's just the old evangelical christian lunatic fringers who keep lying about being the silent majority when all they are are the loudmouthed minority.

We're already seeing a big drop in the polls regarding support for arizona's racist profiling law and ethnic studies ban. The first poll showed 66% of respondents approved of the racist profiling law as their initial kneejerk reaction. After a few weeks that support had declined to 61% and the latest poll released yesterday shows support has dwindled to 51%, a bare majority. Keep watching this poll as we're going to see a majority of sane Americans go against supporting the racist profiling law as they understand better who was behind this sinful law against humanity.

How about a Pawlenty/Palin ticket in 2012. Glenn Beck as Secretary of State and Cheney as Head of MMS.

That will get them the Tea Party vote, and that's all they'll get!

Tonight, tonight, won't be just any night

Eric, everybody I talk to insists that the NBA chiefs in charge, while not out and out handing a championship to any one team, decides who they want to win a title. They're saying that if Kobe is breathed on, there will be fouls descended upon Boston. They're saying that Doc Rivers tries to butter up the refs in order to get preferential treatment.

Here's hoping for a clean fought series, regardless of who wins. No funny business from the refs. Should be a great one. We're all really looking forward to it up here in New England. How I love the finals. Exciting stuff. Especially seeing photos of Belichick, Tom Brady, Red Sox & Bruins players attending. And of course, Nicholson and all the actors out in Hollywood.

              Go Rondo!

No offense, Pat, but as a resident of somewhere else in the country, after the embarassment of riches your city has received in the form of championships over the course of the last decade, I wouldn't mind if Boston didn't win another one for the rest of my life.

Michael, none of us expected the Celtics to make it this far this year. That's why we're particularly happy about this. But absolutely we have had a great decade. No complaints here.

In Indiana basketball is still king. Our controversial past-coach, Bobby Knight, is often quoted as "Basketball is a team sport". The Celtics play as a team. Good luck...Celtics will win in...7.

When will MTP air the interview/question period they did with Pawlenty in Minneapolis. Am especially hoping that they show the question asked by a young man about gay marriage. My daughter went to the taping, and since it was a friend of hers asking the question, was very offended at Pawlenty's bitter response. He is a right wing nut, just like Palin and Bachmann, and though he can hide it better than they can, it sometimes shows itself. I don't much like MTP, but will watch it when this interview is shown.

I am saddened that Marco Rubio represents the future of the Republican Party.

This only leaves Democrats running the country.
