DNC TV ad pushes for financial reform

From NBC's Mark Murray
Goodbye, health care. Hello, financial reform.

The Democratic National Committee is airing a new TV ad (on D.C. and national cable) that blasts Wall Street and advocates for financial reform.

"Trillions in savings wiped out. Millions of jobs lost. Homes and businesses foreclosed on. Wall Street's risk and greed cost us trillions," the announcer in the ad says. "It could all happen again if we don't pass President Obama's plan to reform Wall Street. Reform that puts consumers in control. Strict new rules to hold Wall Street accountable. Clear credit and mortgage information."

The ad concludes, "We want our banks to succeed. But when they make bad decisions, families and small businesses shouldn't be the ones paying the price."
