Presidential contenders aren't the only ones announcing via the web: Al Franken (D) jumped into the Minnesota Senate race yesterday via a web video in which he "acknowledged that voters may have doubts about electing a former Saturday Night Live performer."Â
Franken tackled the question of whether his candidacy should be taken seriously: "'Minnesotans have a right to be skeptical,' Franken said in a video message on his campaign website… 'I want you to know: Nothing means more to me than making government work better for the working families of this state,' [he] said. 'And over the next 20 months I look forward to proving to you that I take these issues seriously.'"Â
